Terms of Service

Bananas from Work is a small, independently run social network. These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of the site. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

You must be 18 or older to create an account, and by creating one you confirm that you are. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password and contact us.

What you post is yours. By posting it you give us permission to store it and show it to the members of the circles you share it with, which is what the site needs to function. You are responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it.

We do not review content before it is posted and are not responsible for what users post. We may remove any content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms or the law. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not use it to train AI.

Do not use the site to:

• post anything illegal, or harass, threaten or impersonate people
• send spam or distribute malware
• scrape the site or access it with automation we have not allowed
• probe, disrupt or break the security of the service

We may suspend or remove accounts that do any of this.

A regular account is free. The ripe side is an optional paid membership, currently €1 per year, paid through Stripe. It renews yearly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If you change your mind within 14 days of paying, contact us and we will refund you.

The shop sells physical items. Prices are shown at checkout and payment goes through Stripe. There is no shipping. Items are handed over in person, and if we cannot arrange a handover within a reasonable time we will refund you.

This is a hobby scale service run in spare time. We do our best, but we do not promise that the site will always be available, free of errors, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not responsible for outages caused by things outside our control. Features may change or be removed, and the service may shut down. If it does, we will give reasonable notice on the site.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. If your breach of these terms leads to claims against us from others, you are responsible for those costs. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your data as described in the privacy policy. We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, without notice when necessary.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will announce it on the site before it takes effect. Using the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Danish law applies to these terms, and disputes belong in Danish courts. This does not limit any mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of the country where you live. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
